Personality: Marise is a odd, complicated girl with a strange mix of ruthlessness and morals in her character. She is a complete paradox: morbid yet full of life, caring yet apathetic, depressed yet hyper, and insecure yet shielded. The few things anyone who knows her agree on are her love for the arts, her temper, and her intelligence. Some call her immature (even if they only have seen one side of her), while others are shocked by her other serious, cynical side. She has no care about herself, and tries to stay that way, as she knows that nothing is greater than death. Like a character in one of her favorite books, she believes that life has no point. Unlike most others, she sees the need for balance between good and evil, health and sickness, dark and light, etc. She walks life for the fun of it.

She had gotten good marks on her homework, managed to do a few spells 1, and hadn't gotten lost in any major ways. Of course, there had been that one incident where she had fallen half way down a flight of stairs and nearly killed herself, but she'd managed to land on her bookbag. She'd only sustained a broken arm and a sprained ankle, but an hour in the infirmary had left her in a deep ennui, impatient, and extremely energetic. She sighed as she surveyed the near-empty dorm.
